13   Bio is an intensive allowing you to complete a one‐page document completed by the end of the class. In order to expedite thinking along the lines of personal storytelling.   23   Media, Message, Music, Models & Methods planting seeds. When news spreads crisis and movies and TV shows spread violence, people need to balance those negatives with helpful and inspiring stories, important to human development.
14   Interview builds on the Bio class momentum whereby students pair up in twos, exchange Bios and interview each other based on a series of questions provided.   24   Increased reliance on fossil fuels for factories as well as more dependence on cars, trucks, ships and airplanes - brings dangerously-high air and water pollution and soil degradation. What are the pros verses consequences for residents and the environment around the globe?
15   Essay incorporates critical thinking, idea production, content development and story incorporation. We will talk about the difference between facts and beliefs, traditional knowledge and fiction.   25   Technological & wireless affordability allows most people to connect for global communications meetings via the web in minutes.  However, as companies and individuals begin to adapt to living in a global world or “village,” we are also beginning to define ourselves and our work differently. What is working?
16   Writing for Self-Defense - allows participants to create a body of personal armor, that strenghtens to keep others hurtful or negative definitions at bay. Writing for Self-Defense is both a practice and recongnition that gives the power to approve or deny others redefinition of one’s self-image on a deliberate basis of critical personal choice.

18   Writing for Empowerment helps to amplify ‘Traditional Knowledge,’ with lessons, interlaced with technology and social enterprise modeling. We’re sustainably investing in building human capacity to invigorate communities, resources and people with training methods to normalize students in the art of leadership.   28   MANAGE ONLINE MEETINGS
Learn to host online meetings
from 2 to 100 people to connect and develop strategies.
19   Knowledge Work, imagine going into a library and seeing all of the books, papers and resources strewn all over the floor. How would you find anything? That is an over-simplification of what we have on the World Wide Web. Opportunities for careers in this century lie within helping citizens, organizations & governments, get precise and current information at any moment, in every area of expertise.   29   SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: Build local - regional development projects
20   Storytelling forms autobiographies which are generated by a combination of brainstorming sessions that include drawing from personal, family and professional experiences and memories. We also feed cultural and social knowledge in a jury style of discussion mixed with contemporary predisposition, media storylines and historic backdrops against the context of the individual’s emerging story. Eworkstyle writing curriculum includes: telling a story, composing a sentence, defining a paragraph, sequencing paragraphs and editing under a deadline. Stories written embraced the concept of writing for empowerment, which also helps participants define their identity and their own terms for life and living well.   30

GLOBAL LEADERSHIP PROJECT: Work on live, interactive projects with tasks & discussions around the world.

21   Globalization via cultural exchange and trade is not new, but has accelerated acutely since 1995.  Globalization is the label given to the world becoming progressively more interconnected as a result of increased travel speed via air and water transit from months to days and hours.   31
22   Urban Sprawl is taking place  In major regions around the world, creating unrestricted growth where corporations have built metropoles for technology use and industry growth on the edges of middle-class and urban poor community boundaries. These fundimental changes are excluding remedially skilled people where they live.  Urban sprawl is progress in the form of unprecedented expansion in housing and commercial development, which require built roads and highways over large tracks of land.  In far too many cases, development has taken precedent with little concern for urban planning. What are the effects on the residents? How are they participating in or being excluded from smartgrowth?    32
